25- What's Next

For this post I will be talking about my existing market and my new market. I now have figured out the secret sauce with attracting a young crowd. But to keep customers coming back I must come up with new ways for my business to grow. What I see next for my business is expanding the versatility of my helmet. Making a helmet for many professions would be my goal. I interview three people about my business and were a potential could be in the future. I got very good feedback from this which I was not expecting. They told me that I should search for a broader market beyond just safety helmets. This is where I though to myself and began thinking of what could be next. Design has always been my passion and I want this to reflect in why business. I want to have many projects that affect culture in a positive way. I want customers to love my brand for what it promotes and this is excellent design. I see myself getting into clothes, shoes, and furniture for my next phase.

In this next phase I see myself also trying too make design affordable and practical. I love designer brands but they can be very expensive and as a college student I cannot afford that. I feel that I can attract this new market by first advertising the brand. My way of marketing would involve social media but only to an extent. I would want to create limited time art installations to get people excited about the brand. I also want to start designing my platform to sell these goods and this would be through pop up shops. These pop up shops would hopefully spark a buzz in the community and would get my brand out there by word of mouth. I think this tactic is very in trend and this would allow my brand to travel. My business would be able to interact with the community and this is my ultimate goal. If I could influence community through great design then I think I could have a very successful business.

  1. Baron,

I like the idea of pop up shops. When i lived in NYC this is something I came across all of the time. People would randomly set up in the street promote their products and create a buzz for their company or new items the are debuting. It definitely seems as though clothing, back packs, and other apparel would the logical next step for you to expand. You should definitely pursue this idea. Nice job.
