30- Farewell

Unfortunately this blog is coming to an end. First off I want to thank those who believed in the concept this semester because I was no certain this course was going to be for me. Honestly it was a great experience. I feel like I am ready to really start thinking about a real business. I’ve had it in the back of my mind for a long time and I think this summer will be a great time to gather these thoughts and put out product. I have gone though a lot of change since starting this blog. I did not even know what product I first wanted to start with until I found my opportunity.
From this class the formative experience I will take with me is honestly letting my thoughts about business out. I am an architecture major so I don’t get to talk about business that often and it is nice to think about for once. I will continue this trend in my lifestyle moving forward. My most joyous experience was getting my first feedback on my post. It was really encouraging to have people comment on my work and push me to keep going. I am glad that I started to sketch again as well. Behind the scenes I have been working on a lot of concept shoes and art. I use art as my tool to embody what will become my products.

I do see myself as an entrepreneur more now than I did at the beginning of the semester. I have been heavily focused on architecture but in my free time I like to think about what could be designed for my business. I think this has also moved me closer to developing an entrepreneurial mindset too. I love to think about business and how I can design something better.

If I had to make a recommendation to future students it would be very simple…do something you love. Business and entrepreneurship my not be for you. If you take an aspect like design and incorporate it then you have something that really interests you. Money is very important to me but it’s not everything. Do something you are happy with and it will reward you with more than money can give.
