My Entrepreneurship Story
Before coming to Gainesville I lived in South Florida for all of my life. There are many influences that involve entrepreneurship because of technological advancements near big cities. My father inspired me because of his entrepreneurship experience by starting his own appraisal business before I was born. He works from home and I would always see him working on his projects. My dad is also very creative and to this day I still don’t understand why he chose this path to become an appraiser. He was an entrepreneur when he created this business, but it limits his creativity. I would often travel to Miami as well to get inspiration to feed my creative mind. Now it is my time to jump into the real world and I would like to be more creative with my entrepreneurship. I am also an architecture major at the University of Florida. This has also sparked my interest to become an entrepreneur because of the lack of great design in the world from buildings to every day products.
I enrolled in this entrepreneurship class because I would like to find the logistics of starting a business. I have the creative mind to make products but I have no clue how to start and market them to the consumer. I hope to also learn how to create a website because I feel that in the digital age we live in today that this is vital to start a successful business. I want to also learn from unsuccessful businesses and why they did not work.

Hello Baumeister Design,
ReplyDeleteI find your story to be very inspiring, especially when you have such a good role model to look to growing up and seeing that every day. I think architecture I an amazing place for entrepreneurship to grow and expand. People to tend to think of entrepreneurship as starting a business but it means so much more. Just like what you are doing with your building designs. I also believe your idea to take your business to the digital platform is amazing and very intelligent. My advice to not limit yourself, often times we start out doing what we wanted but somewhere along the way we get lost and influenced. Please don’t lose your goal.
Hi Baron,
ReplyDeleteI loved how you are taking the lessons from other people and using them to avoid your own so you can accomplish what you truly want. I think it's amazing that you want to follow in your father's footsteps to become and entrepreneur just like him, but while at the same time creating your own twist. I also like how you are focusing on adapting to technology as that is the basis of how business are run these days. I agree it would be cool to learn how to create a website as that could also be used for personal branding. I wish you the best of luck in accomplishing your goals!
Baron,
ReplyDeleteI found your experience with entrepreneurship to be quite interesting. I enjoyed hearing about your dad's story and how he made his business. However, the part I enjoyed the most is when you talked about how you noticed that your dad was limited and how you wanted to go further than him. I find it very fulfilling to see people learning from those before them and going the extra step.
Hi Baron,
ReplyDeleteI think it's so neat that you've been inspired by watching your dad operate his own business. I too have watched a family member run their own business and have always admired the characteristics that make for a successful business owner. I also think it's great that you not only want to understand how to run a successful business but also want to learn what can cause businesses to fail.
Hi Baron,
ReplyDeleteI found your entrepreneurship story very interesting and somewhat inspiring. I loved that you followed in your father’s footsteps because you know what they say, “parents know best.” I had a similar experience with my mom because she also help start a business with a friend. I couldn’t find anything wrong with your post. Great Job and good luck with your future in entrepreneurship!
