A Broader Look at Opportunities
Delivery chains opening up across the nation has become an increasing interest in the economics of the food sector. Instead of going to the actual establishment people have been ordering their food online and on apps. My roommate is who I saw this trend in recently. People have become lazy and want their food in the comfort of their own home. This is a question the food industry has been trying to answer for years “ How can we market food to make the consumer feel like they are at home?” This is a relatively difficult problem to solve. I see this as an opportunity because you can create restaurants that resemble the home better by good interior design and a staff that resembles that.
There is also a surging interest in the economic trend of transferring money to people. This has become a global popularity when exchanging funds. Venmo is a great example of the feat. I could see a new opportunity in this field by creating a secure way to transfer funds from the home via designed device.
An increasing interest in small scale transportation is on the rise as regulations have become looser in regards to companies making profits off transporting people such the new electric scooter craze that is happening across the globe. I see this as an opportunity because there is a market for people trying to make their last journey on their trip too or from somewhere. This is popular in big cities because of the lack of parking. I could see something scaled down to fit the need of a University.
Another opportunity that exist because of recent regulatory changes is the trend of keeping products produced in the United States. Tariffs and trade policies, especially with China, make it hard to get items at a cheaper price. I have always believed that shipping factories overseas is not the best option for companies because it does not help out economy. Having a strong economy is key for small business to thrive. So I believe the opportunity exist here in America. Being able to produce a quality product in the US gives the consumer confidence to buy the product.

Hi Baron , First and foremost I really need to applaud for the design of the blog and how visually appealing it is, I really appreciated the details and effort. And as for the opportunities; I completely agree with you and find great opportunity in food applications and how they have affected how we think and perceive delivery. People nowadays would rather deal with an application than with having to pick up their phone and call to make an order. Moreover, well done on your findings!
